911 Miles and Beyond......Posted on 10/7/2017

On October 7, 2018 many people united together and joined forces, running, walking, rucking, cycling and motorcycle riding 911 miles to Honor and Remember the October 7th, 2001 Deployment of our Military Men and Women, those who paid the Ultimate Sacrifice, including those who lost their lives due to Military PTSD and the Invisible Wounds of War, while we continue to support those Currently Serving, Our Veterans, First Responders and to Never forget those who perished on 9/11. We relayed to every location where 9/11 took place starting at Boston Logan Airports 9/11 Memorial. The Tactical Team ( a group of all volunteers filling in unfixed stages) along with registered participants relaying through eight states for eight days during the one and eight stage relay. They carried an American Flag  that was purchased from the Flght 93 memorial in Shnakville, PA and another American Flag carrying 676 pictures of Fallen Military Men and Women, First Responders and Civilians. The American Flag was wrapped with five different color ribbons and was not unwrapped until we reach the 9/11 memorial at the Pentagon in Virginia.

The meaning of the colors of the ribbons wrapped around the Folded American Flag we carry:

Black In remembrance of all those who have passed and the mourning their loved ones face each day.

Gold: Honoring and Remembering the Gold Star Families who's loved ones died in the line of service to our Country

Red: Each heart beats as one

Blue: Just like the ocean flows around the world so will their memory

White: They are the light that shines within to keep us going.

Wrapped together they unit as one…… Americans!

How can you get involved? Easy whether you join yourself, join with family and friends bring your bikers buddies or rucking pals you can register to join us and be apart of something great than yourself  this year October 6-13 during one of the many stages going through Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, District of Columbia and Virginia.
