Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) empowers veterans and families of fallen heroes to develop character in future generations. In 2007, 1st Lt Travis Manion (USMC) was killed in Iraq while saving his wounded teammates. Today, Travis' legacy lives on in the words he spoke before leaving for his final deployment, "If Not Me, Then Who..." Guided by this mantra, veterans continue their service, develop strong relationships with their communities, and thrive in their post-military lives. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation's heroes live on in the next generation.
The Newton Firefighters Children’s Fund:
The Newton Firefighters Children’s Fund was created in 2010. The original goal was to help the families of recently fallen active-duty firefighters in the city of Newton. Due to the overwhelming success of the program, we have since extended our reach to include the children of firefighters who have fallen in the line of duty throughout the state of Massachusetts to offer a one-time check to these families. During the holiday season of each year, the children of fallen Newton firefighters receive a check from the fund. These children can remain in the program until they reach the age of 21. Even though this may be a small gesture, it serves as a reminder to the families that they are remembered and will always be part of the Newton Firefighter family.http://www.nfdchildrensfund.com/
